Arcady Vineyard Bed and Breakfast Rooms

The lodging accommodations at our B&B in Charlottesville, VA are designed to make vacation planning easy, with amenities for which others charge extra. Because Arcady Vineyard was once part of Thomas Jefferson’s beloved estate Monticello, the rooms are all named after people he once knew:

The Madison Suite, named after the fourth President and frequent visitor to Jefferson at Monitcello, is decorated in a soothing blue and gray. Our largest and most grand room is accessible by private staircase and features three large picture windows for an expansive view of the grounds. Relax on your private deck or inside in front of the corner fireplace. This room offers a king bed, smart TVs in the bedroom and sitting area, private bathroom with cultured marble shower, Bose CD/radio and sleeping area ceiling fan.

The Mazzei Room has a Tuscan décor with small Italian paintings, king bed, ensuite bath, whirlpool tub, and balcony overlooking the vineyard.Mazzei Room

 

The Tuscan-designed Mazzei room, decorated in beautiful dusky gold with earth tones, pays homage to the Italian physician, promoter of liberty and close friend of Jefferson, Philip Mazzei. It was he who helped Jefferson plant the first commercial vineyard in Virginia, just down the road from the inn. The Mazzei offers a king bed, sofa, whirlpool tub for two, full bath, Smart TV, Bose CD/ radio and balcony overlooking the vineyard.

Decorated in Austrian/German Baroque with soothing gray blue and white, the Baron’s Room has whirlpool tub, queen bed, ensuite bath and balcony overlooking the vineyard.Baron’s Room

 

The Baron’s Room, decorated in a calm grey blue and white, is named after Baron von Geismar, who fought with the British during the Revolution, was taken prisoner with the Hessian troops, and housed in the area of Monticello where he became great friends with Jefferson, who treated him like a guest. This room is German/Austrian Baroque in design, with whirlpool tub for two, queen bed, full bath, Smart TV, Bose CD/radio and balcony overlooking the vineyard.

The Swiss inspired Gallatin Room has a sitting room nook, ensuite bath, and private entry.Gallatin Room

 

The Gallatin, named after Albert Gallatin, a Swiss emigrant who served as Thomas Jefferson’s Secretary of the Treasury, is decorated in soothing pastels with a Swiss theme. This roomy space has a comfortable sitting room nook, full bath, Smart TV, Bose CD/radio and king bed.

The French decorated Lafayette Room has private entry and deck, esuite bath, king bed and remote controlled fireplace.Lafayette Room

The Lafayette Room named after the French Marquis who was friends with Jefferson, is decorated in a warm sunny yellow and blue French Country style. Relax on your private deck or inside in the double whirlpool tub. This L- shaped room also offers a king bed with vineyard view, full bath, Smart TV, Bose CD/radio and electric fireplace.

    • Monticello Appellation Wine Tour – discounted for Arcady Vineyard B&B guests from $145 per person to $125 per person. Enjoy the afternoon from 1pm to 5 – 5:30pm, tasting at 3 wineries escorted by the former innkeepers. They’ll assist you in determining your palate preference and provide time to relax and enjoy a local cheese, chocolate and fruit plate at the second winery.
