History of Vinotherapy

 

It's said that the grape vine has been used to preserve health and beauty as far back as Cleopatra's time, only recently has the value of the oils from the seeds, leaves and stems have been rediscovered.

In the early 90s in France, a professor and his class were touring a winery when a medical student, noticing a pile of grape seeds, commented to the owners that they had a wealth of powerful anti-oxidants that they were discarding. The owners since then have developed a spa at the winery which is visited by guests from all over the world.

It took me a long time to locate a line of products available here in the US, as most in Europe create their product for their own spas.

After a lot of searching, I finally found a distributor, DDI, and now proudly offer Theravine™, the vine-derived skin care products from South Africa's Wine Country.

I wanted to both offer the products as amenities for our guests to experience and purchase. Right now we are offering the Sauvignon Blanc Shampoo and the Chardonnay Cream Rinse.

We also have the massage product which our therapists use in the Spa Package.

If you check out the links in the previous paragraph, you'll see how the grape vine is said to have 50 times the power of vitamin E and 20 times the strength of vitamin C to protect your skin and hair against the elements and pollution. These products contain no preservatives.
