A Walk through Arcady Vineyard B&B
in Charlottesville, Virginia!

Around the inn you'll find a young vineyard we planted of Chambourcin grapes.

Enjoy the deer, woodpeckers, rabbits and hawks that share this beautiful spot of land with us.

Our forest paths are perfect for walking, photography, painting or sketching.

We're located just 6.5 miles from the excitement
of downtown Charlottesville in a cluster of wineries, (Jefferson, Keswick, Kluge Estate, Blenheim, Virginia Wineworks and First Colony) and just a
mile down the road from Tufton Farms, where Monticello' nursery starts a lot of the plants for the mansion's gardens and the shop at the Welcome Center. Monticello is just over 2 miles from Arcady Vineyard and owns a lot of the property around us.

As you enter the main door of the B&B, inside you'll face the Wine Octagon.

Walking in the front door you have our library on your left, our living room to your right..

The sunlit library pictured left, has board games, wine games, DVD movies, and information about Charlottesville, the wineries and restaurant menus. Our living room, pictured right, is filled with family antiques, both American and European.
Passing through the hall into the Octagon Room (our nod to Jefferson who loved the shape of the octagon in architecture) you'll enter our dining room.
Our dining room receives the morning sun and has tables for two to give guests space to wake up over breakfast. The doorway leading out of the dining room enters our tasting room. Through the french doors in the dining room is our outside deck, where we enjoy serving breakfast or wine tasting and deer watching during warm weather.
Entering the Tasting Room entering from the Dining Room - this is where we place our port and locally-made chocolate turndown for guests to enjoy after dinner out in town.
The view from the dining room and deck looks over our vineyard and often we catch a balloon floating by. One of our young neighbors pictured here coming to see if there is any fruit left over from a wine tour cheese plate...
The Arcand Junior Suite is named after Chris's French ancestors. It has a private porch entry into the bedroom and a private bath. The bath has heated tiled flooring, spa shower and heated towel rack. There is a closet with iron, ironing board and hair dryer.
Beyond the Arcand bedroom is the Spa Nook which leads into the bath. All rooms at Arcady come with a bottle of sparkling wine in your own wine fridge, as well as bottled water and soda.
The deGruchy bedroom is named after Erika's french ancestors. it has a private entry into a Sitting Room Nook, beyond is the bedroom.
The deGruichy also has a private entry into the Tasting Room. The private bath is off the sitting room and has heated tiled flooring, spa shower and heated towel rack. There is a closet with iron, ironing board and hair dryer.
