We have finally wound down after a very busy “high season” and are enjoying the slower pace of our “quiet season”. We continue to run tours, just not at such a hectic pace, and have time to chat with our friends in the tasting rooms. Now is a great time of year. The vines go dormant. The number of visitors are smaller. Fires are lit in the tasting rooms. Ah, life is good!

Our B&B is doing very well and our little vineyard has been put to sleep until Spring. Pictured here is the bedroom of our Arcand Suite and spa nook with whirlpool tub which leads to the private bath.

There is also a Bose radio /CD player, TV with DVD player and remote controlled fireplace, as well as a bottle of sparkling wine, full country breakfast, and cheese plate and wine tasting on checkin!

All but maybe one or two wineries remain open all year round, so when you need a weekend away, don’t overlook the Wine Country. We still have Monticello, Ashlawn-Highland, Montpelier, beautiful B&Bs, cozy wineries, fantastic restaurants and shopping on the downtown walking mall – lots to do in the wintertime!
