Curious about staying at Arcady Vineyard Bed and Breakfast? Peruse the following information to prepare for your visit to our country lodging near Monticello in Charlottesville, Virginia. If you have additional questions, please feel free to contact us.
Is there a winery at your vineyard?
Our private vineyard is a hobby vineyard, and we do not get into wine production or sales here on property; we are “grape farmers” only. This keeps things quiet, exclusive and just for our guests staying here at the Bed and Breakfast. Each guestroom offers a view of the vineyard and you are free to walk around the vines too! There are over three dozen wineries in the Monticello Appellation region for you to explore and enjoy, offering bottle sales and flights.
Does Uber/Lyft serve your Bed and Breakfast?
Yes! Driver services are readily available for transportation to and from Arcady Vineyard Bed and Breakfast. For some of the more remote wineries, we highly recommend a private driver as cell service can be spotty making return trips potentially challenging. We are happy to assist with reputable driving services!
Are there any rooms with more than one bed?
While our guestrooms are spacious and well furnished, there is only one bed per room and a maximum occupancy of two adults per room. If you are travelling with friends/family, we recommend you reserve the Baron’s and Mazzei rooms which share a large deck and/or the Madison Suite, which is just below the Baron’s and Mazzei, completing the third room on the west wing of the building. The Gallatin and Lafayette Rooms are on the opposite end of the building and next to one another, each with private entrances from outside rather than off of a similar hallway as the Baron’s, Mazzei and Madison.
Do you accept children or pets?
Due to our liquor license (we serve an in-room port and complimentary sparkling wine) we only accept adults 21 years of age and above. Although we love them, we are not set up to offer our accommodations for pets.
Do you offer meals other than breakfast and is there an in-room dining option?
Charlottesville is very much a foodie town and at one time had the most restaurants per capita in the U.S. – so many choices to try! We provide a fresh and served breakfast only at 9:00 a.m. and complimentary snacks in our Barrel room for your enjoyment. While we do not offer in-room dining for breakfast, you are free to bring outside food and beverages to your room at any time, and we have everything you need to make that happen including TV trays, glassware, utensils, et cetera! All we ask is that you limit your amount of trash and not bring in trash from your vehicle. We have limited local refuse service here and appreciate your cooperation!
We would like to arrange a morning tour of Monticello. What is the earliest time you recommend for timed tickets so we can enjoy breakfast and allow for enough time to get to Monticello?
We are on property once owned by TJ himself and the B&B is a very short 2.5 mile drive from Monticello. If you purchase tickets for 10:30 or later, you’ll have plenty of time to enjoy a leisurely breakfast and make the short trip around the corner to the estate.
Do you offer whole house rentals?
We have rented all five rooms to groups, BUT we are not a party house. As we live upstairs on the property and directly above the main deck, we have a strict 10:00 p.m. quiet time. Additionally, we permit no outside catering for groups. If you are looking for something less restrictive or have questions regarding a potential group booking, please give us a call and we’ll be happy to assist you.
