Discover a secluded retreat in the heart of Charlottesville wine country. At 750 square feet, the Madison Suite is Arcady Vineyard Bed & Breakfast’s largest accommodation, offering a sophisticated blend of comfort, privacy, and relaxed elegance. Soft blue and gray tones create a calming atmosphere, while expansive picture windows frame panoramic views of the vineyard and surrounding landscape.

A private staircase off our first-floor west wing hallway leads to this beautifully appointed, ground-level suite, where a king-size bed, inviting gas fireplace (seasonal), and generous sitting area offer ample room to unwind. Step outside onto your private deck to savor the peaceful vineyard setting, or settle in for a quiet evening with separate Smart TVs in the sleeping and living areas.

The Madison Suite sits just below our Mazzei and Baron’s Guest Rooms. Madison’s spacious bathroom features an oversized walk-in shower with a built-in seat, while thoughtful amenities and an additional layer of soundproofing enhance the suite’s comfort and tranquility.

The Mazzei Room is named after famous Italian physician Philip Mazzei, who helped Thomas Jefferson plant the first commercial vineyard in America located just about a mile from Arcady Vineyard in the general location of what is now Jefferson Vineyards.

Located at the end of the west wing of the building, the Mazzei is decorated in a Tuscan style with burgundy and gold earth tones and Italian art. This roomy and open layout includes a king bed, whirlpool tub for two, full-size sofa, and French doors opening to a large furnished deck, shared with the Baron’s Room and overlooking the vineyard.

Entering the room, a private bathroom with a cultured marble shower is to the right and further in the room is a whirlpool tub for two. To the left is the sofa, and straight ahead is the king size bed and a chest of drawers. Continue past the bed and you will find French doors which open to a spacious deck that overlooks our vineyard of Chambourcin grapes and scenic landscape.

Baron von Geismar, fighting with the British against the colonists during the Revolution, met Jefferson after being taken captive. The Baron’s Room remembers this interesting man who became Jefferson’s close friend.

Decorated in a German/Austrian Baroque style in soothing grey blue and white, this cozy  room located in the west wing of the building is tranquil and sunny, with a truly romantic feel. The gold-framed flower pictures above the bed and cream-colored love seat add a quiet beauty to the room.

As you enter, a private bathroom with a cultured marble shower is to the left. To the right is a chest of drawers. Straight ahead is a comfortable queen size bed; further in to left are the whirlpool tub for two and a love seat. While it is our smallest room and the only room with a queen-size bed, the high ceilings and vineyard view give an air of spaciousness. If you are traveling with excess luggage, please choose any other of our guest rooms that provide the necessary storage space.

Past the bed you’ll find French doors that embrace the natural sunlight. The french doors open to a large furnished deck shared with the Mazzei Room, which overlooks the lush vineyard of Chambourcin grapes and showcases our serene landscape.

The Gallatin Room with a private entry facing the front of the building is named after the Swiss-American, Albert Gallatin, who was Jefferson’s Secretary of the Treasury.

Decorated with a Swiss theme, this room offers warm soothing cream walls, a king-size bed and a cozy sitting room nook. The private entry leads to the sitting room with the bathroom and cultured marble shower to the left. Just ahead of the sitting area is the spacious sleeping area with a king-size bed. This room is adjacent to our sunroom where you can enjoy a private seating area for breakfast, just outside of the main dining room.
